Deleting a repo leaves its local_files and package metadata rows behind, so a repo recreated under the same name inherits stale index entries and re-uploading any path 409s.

  • delete local_files and rpm/deb/alpine/puppet/helm metadata rows with the remote in one transaction
  • poll TestLocalAlpineIndex until the index lists the package, since metadata is parsed after the upload returns
